We are looking for native-speaking translators who have previous experience with translating documents for the European Union and other international institutions.
The minimum level of qualification is the following:
1) university degree or equivalent qualification in law (or a qualification giving access to employment as an advocate, barrister or solicitor) - this will be considered as strong asset, not requirement
2) university degree or equivalent qualification in translation or languages
The translation experience in relevant language combination must be equivalent to at least 1 000 standard pages in the legal field. One year’s full time work as in-house translator in equivalent to 1 000 standard pages), translation experiences up to an overall maximum of 5,000 pages will be considered as asset. The translator must prove his/her translation experience with REFERENCE LETTERS.
Please note that SDL Trados is obligatory for this project.

Details of the project: We are a Vancouver, Canada-based translation company and we are currently looking for English to Danish and English to Dutch (Belgium) translators and reviewers to work on a localization project for documentation and UI for machines used in pharmaceutical industry.
The project would involve translation of two user manuals, approximately 30k - 40k words and HMI (user interface) screens on the machine HMI, approximately 10k - 20k.
The translation will need to be done in Trados and Translation Memory should be created and delivered along with the final deliverables.
The project will not be starting immediately but rather in the next couple of months but we would like to form teams and plan the project flow in advance (deadlines mentioned in this post are for posting purposes only as those fields cannot be left blank).
Ideal candidates will need to have a background and/or translation experience in manufacturing and be able to translate software strings (manuals with many screenshots will be available for context references). Knowledge of HTML would be beneficial. Should be professional with SDL Trados, preferably Studio 2011 or later versions.
