Job Responsibilities:
• Proofread/QC subtitles that had been translated from English to Dutch
• Correct typography, grammatical errors, and any mistranslated words to ensure the quality of our final products according to the translation/editing guidelines of Iyuno-SDI Group and our clients and also able to edit the Machine translated subtitles.
Qualification:
• Previous experience in subtitle translation or proofreading is preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy

What is NMT? Neural Machine Translation (NMT)
Artifical Intelligence (A.I.) is changing the game for most industries. In localization, A.I. is utilized to support transcription and translation. The turnaround time A.I. takes compared to a human translator is at a 1:48 ratio. An example, NMT takes 10 minutes to translate a 1-hour content whereas a human translator takes 8 hours. An English template runs through the NMT and it will produce the desired language’s translation.
Yes, A.I. has its limitations but we aim to improve its performance by providing it constant feedbacks. With this, we hope to expand its learning curve and cover as much content as we can.

Details of the project: It’s training an AI chatbot (reviewing content in written form for a verbal tool) in different content types: travel, fast food, finance, technology.
Orientation: Creators will receive project orientation and training (approx. 2 hours, unpaid). Payment will only kick in once you successfully complete your first task. Orientation will include some short online modules, and training materials to use alongside the completion of actual production tasks.
Your job will be to imagine a particular customer support situation and then write up examples of things you (and people you know) might say on the phone.
We call these statements “utterances”.
For example, we may ask you to imagine that you want to change your flight for a trip you have already scheduled. We may also ask you to include a date in your utterance.
You would then write up several different things you or someone might say in that situation. Each one of the utterances you write would need to be different, using different kinds of words, different styles. You need to be very creative and write variations of each sentence in a way that uses as many new words as possible and uses a completely different sentence structure.
And you need to be fast!
Sentences don't need to be long. They need to be unique and applicable to the situation. Realism is critical.
When you write an utterance, we want you to think about the kinds of references someone from your country would make. Specific companies, specific government entities, specific local currency, specific local slang, specific local brand names.
The specific job task will be to create one sheet of utterances per task. On the sheet, there will be several prompts (scenarios) and the creator will create several variants for expressing an utterance that relates to the prompt.
All specific rules regarding spelling, grammar, punctuation, glossary term usage, and other specialized conventions (orientation will be provided) MUST be followed. If not, the creator will be provided with feedback and ask to edit their sheet of utterances until it complies with our quality standards.

Duration: Ongoing
Training Period: Creators will receive project orientation & training in December 2021. Orientation will include completing some online modules, video conference calls, and sample tasks with direct personalized feedback. Training will last for approximately 2 hours, and it will be unpaid.
Payment will only kick in once you successfully complete your first task.

Special requirements to the applicants: - Native-level fluency in the target language (written and spoken) and great spelling and grammar are required. Preferred candidates will also be familiar with the target language used by a wide range of speakers from ages 15-70, primarily from urban and suburban settings.
- Advanced English comprehension (spoken and written), ability to understand training materials, instructions, and creative writing prompts written in English.
- Ability to follow nuanced linguistic instructions (e.g., Do not use numerals in your writing. Write out all numbers. Do not use “1”. Do use “one”).
- Ability to hit demanding deadlines by learning how to work in efficient ways.
- Candidate needs to have a rich vocabulary, knowledge of local market conditions, and local-market slang.
- Extensive knowledge in local-market insurance, financial, and health care systems (work experience in these sectors is not necessary, but knowledge as a consumer of these systems is critical).
- Ability to analyze writing prompts (scenarios) and adapt them to local cultural reality.
- Efficient online research skills.
- Documented work experience as a writer (e.g., journalism or creative writing) preferred.
