This is a complete work-from-office job.
The job location is Kolkata (more precisely, at Ranikuthi, near Mahanayak Uttam Kumar Metro Station).

QUALIFICATION: Graduates in any stream (10+2 pass outs can also apply provided they have adequate linguistic skills and willingness to work full-time)
DUTY TIMING: 10 AM to 7 PM
WEEK OFF: Sunday (fixed)
EXPERIENCE: This role demands intense focus, dedication, mindful involvement, and attention to details. Therefore, we are looking for experienced translators/linguists who have expertise in the translation domain or previous experience in the same field. People from the language, linguistics, and literature domains are mostly preferred. However, freshers with these same attributes may also apply.
REQUIRED SKILL: 1. Precise knowledge and linguistic expertise in both English and Bengali. 2. Must have recommendable typing speed in both languages (typing in Bengali is essential). 3. Should have knack for reading. 4. Should be a team player and be able to work under strict deadlines.
JOB DESCRIPTION: As a full-time translator, you need to work on various translation projects assigned by your project manager, adhere to the deadline, and learn some essential translation CAT tools like SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, XTM, etc. (adequate guidance will be given). Other than translation work, there will be frequent transcription and subtitling work as well.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: There will be mainly 2 rounds.
1. The first one is the verbal interview round, which shall be conducted onsite or over the phone.
2. Based on the interview, we will ask desirable candidates to attend an assessment test round, and based on their test performances, most eligible candidates will be hired as full-time translators. This assessment test will be done at the office premise.

It will be your duty as a Language Specialist to deliver accurate and trustworthy information in your native tongue on a range of subjects.
Responsibilities include:
- Work together with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to obtain pertinent data and responses to inquiries.
- Condense and polish the material you've been given into precise, well-written writing.
- Verify that the content is accurate and credible by doing extensive research and fact-checking.
- Comply with the standards and rules for content development as specified.
- Work together to go over and modify the content with the SMEs.

Details of the project: We are looking for long-term participants for our new projects, MILKY WAY and LIGHTSPEED.
MILKY WAY PROJECT:
During this Search Engine Evaluation project, participants will evaluate the quality of queries made by internet users while navigating through different map applications.
The entries to evaluate will be of varied nature, from user intent to authentication of data accuracy.
LIGHTSPEED PROJECT:
During this Search Engine Evaluation project, participants will encounter a variety of different tasks, each unique with their own guidelines and entrance exam. The first task is called Browser/Phone SBS. In the first task, you will view results for a search query and rate how “satisfying” each result is based on predetermined metrics.
Main requirements:
• You are a native or fluent speaker of English (India).
• You are fluent in English, as all the guidelines and certifications will be in English.
• You have been living in India for at least 5 years! Our evaluators must be familiar with the local businesses, points of interest, colloquialisms, etc.
• You have access to a good internet connection and a computer.
• You are available for at least 20 hours per week. Your schedule will be totally flexible: you decide when to work!
• You are willing to take our entry training and/or certifications to ensure you qualify for this project.
