My name is Gabriella, I am project manager at Lextrad.
We are building a team of freelance translators for a large longterm project we have for an international client in the automobile industry.
Last year we have covered 20 billion words per language pair for this client and they are expanding on further markets currently, such as the Swedish market. We can assure constant work and flexibility. The start is always a little difficult, as the memory is small. We are working within the frame of a Groupshare project. This means that with time the workload is much lighter, as the content is very repetitive and the memory is growing very fast. In this part of the project the segments are very short, most of them contain few words only.
The feedback from our translators is that they progressing much faster than “usual translations”, as no full sentences need to be formulated and because of the repetitive use of vocabulary.
We are supporting the work of our translators with a shared memory, termbase, from which we are developing a tailored automatic translation for this project only. In the future, the task is not translation anymore, but postediting. We also have a skype group where we can discuss terminology with you and the group of external translators.
Groupshare is compatible with Trados 2014,2015,2017.
We also offer a 6 month subscription to Trados for free.
The rate per packs of 20 000 words is 800 EUR. The first deadline is the 15/05/2017.
