My minimum rate is 0.05 Euro per source word.

But I prefer to work at 0.07 Euro per source word.

And my minimum charge per document is 25 Euro.

I have obtained an official translator / linguist degree.

I have been working as a translator since 2015.

I provide the following services: Translation, Proofreading, Interpretation (consecutive), Interpretation (simultaneous), Subtitling, Teaching (Language Courses).

By today, I have translated about 10,000 to 50,000 words.

I use the following tools: SDL Trados, Wordfast.

I am best in the following fields: Arts and Humanities, Finance / Economics, Government / Politics, History, IT / E-Commerce / Internet, Music, Psychology, Social Science, Travel & Tourism.

I am not a sworn translator.

I am available for work Part-time.

Language and communication have always been my passions, and helping people to communicate between themselves was the best way I could think of to put this passion to good use.

I consider my philosophy background to be an integral aspect of the professional I am today. Abstract thinking, critical analysis and a broad understanding of language as a cultural phenomenon are tools I employ on a daily basis, tools that wouldn't be as developed as they are without my training in philosophy.

Being fluent in 5 languages and working in all sorts of communication contexts compels me to stay up to date with international economy & politics, which I happen to enjoy very much. Literature occupies a significant portion of my spare time, as well.

Over the past few years, my interest in China, its language, and its people has grown exponentially. Studying and working in Beijing and becoming fluent in Mandarin Chinese has raised my awareness of the importance of translators & interpreters in serving as bridges to connect the different neighbourhoods of this global village. As Mr. George Steiner would say, "Without translation, we would inhabit parishes bordering on silence".
