Hello, My name is Yuka Mann. I’m completely fluent in Japanese and English, with a strong background in finance and business. For five years, I was a vice president and controller at the Bank of Tokyo’s New York branch. Before that, I worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Manhattan as a senior associate in their Japanese Business Group. At both the bank and accounting firm, I translated Japanese to English (and vice-versa) on a daily basis. I should also add that I’m a CPA licensed in New York State. After leaving my full-time finance and accounting positions, I worked for the New York Yankees as a Japanese-English translator, a job which was necessitated by the signing of Hideki Matsui. Dozens of Japanese-speaking media members covered Matsui, so I was hired to work the press gate at Yankee Stadium, translating between Japanese and English as needed. I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I run a small business called Paper Pagoda that specializes in wholesaling Japanese-themed gift items to retail stores. However, my schedule is extremely flexible and I can accommodate whatever needs you have. I was born and raised in Tokyo, but came to the United States for college, earning a degree in accounting from Hunter College. I lived in New York City for 15 years, before moving to California with my husband and son 10 years ago. My resume is attached for your review. I thank you for your time and consideration, and I hope we have the opportunity to work together soon. Warm regards, Yuka Mann
