Since 2000, I have been running my company Textdoktorn språkkonsult AB as a freelance translator and language consultant. My focus is non-fictional literature, such as:
• patents
• newsletters, press releases and customer magazines
• company presentations, mailings, brochures and advertising

• submissions in judicial proceedings and court rulings

I usually translate (and review translations) from English, German and French, as well as from Swedish to English. I have handled approximately 3,000 patent applications (descriptions and/or patent claims), which probably makes me one of the most experienced in the field and language combinations.

The texts I work with relate to mechanics, automotive technology, electronics, IT/data communication, environmental technology, biochemistry/life science, optics, construction technology, pharmaceutics, foods ... the list can be made very long. Thereby I have also gathered a substantial collection of printed and electronic dictionaries, but also contacts who can help me with expertise when I get stuck. I always stay within budget and never miss a deadline.

I have a degree as a Swedish language consultant, and I am an authorized (sworn) translator from English to Swedish. In addition to the language combinations mentioned, I can translate from Spanish, Danish, Norwegian and Russian, although I have no experience with patent translations from those languages.
