Hello and welcome to my profile Page.

I started working as a translator when I was only 18 years old, right after I finished my English course and I have always been passionate about the English language and languages in general. Later I went to Spain (Salamanca and Madrid) to study the Spanish Language, and also started studying some French and German by myself. I also have some knowledge in Italian (I can read latin languages), as well as notions of Hebrew writing and reading.

I am an avid self-learner and was born in a family of movie and TV geeks, with a taste for Sciences and Arts. I was raised with my dad and his parents, my daddy is a journalist and TV producer, my grandmother is a painter and used to be a teacher of plastic arts, my grandfather was a History teacher and also a member of a Brazilian moderate socialist party, so I had quite an interesting upbringing, culturally.

I started working as a full-time translator in 2010, and I learned by myself to work with many types of CAT Tools in the industry; and until today I feel excited about using every new software available by the many software developer Companies in the translation industry.

In the middle of this period of time, working as a translator and during my College years, I also studied programming principles, subtitling for movies and TV, Web Design, took professional beauty courses and learned different types of craftwork. I took classical Music lessons too during my twenties. All of my previous experience contributed to make me a generalist freelancer that understands the dynamics involved in the combination of words and images, as well as technical translation requirements such as the use of CAT Tools and LQA sheets to assure professional quality.
