My name is Mark Lepage, a veteran French-English translator and editor. My clients include major cultural and governmental organizations including the Government of Québec and the Delegation générale du Québec à New York. I am currently working on contract with the United Nations as a Press Officer, translator and proofreader, covering meetings of the Security Council, General Assembly and all major Committees – I am very familiar with that international and domestic government/legal milieu and its language. As principal freelance translator for the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, Festival Montréal en Lumière and Les Francofolies de Montréal, I have two decades of experience in translating documents on subjects including government and financial documents, contracts, tourism, event marketing, music in all genres, gourmet food and wine, foodie tourism and the hotel industry. I have also translated for Tourisme Montréal. I have edited fiction and non-fiction in a number of forms, including textbooks, industrial and marketing websites, medical and engineering manuals and memoirs, for a Columbia professor and a leading Canadian businessman among others. I am also a music/cultural journalist who's been published in newspapers and magazines all over North America as well as abroad (Montreal Gazette, Globe & Mail, Toronto Star, NY Daily News, The National (Abu Dhabi), SPIN, En Route, Details, Blender, Maisonneuve, etc.). Best regards, - Mark Lepage
