Not only that I have learnt English and Swahili in class but also I use these languages in daily communication as a result, getting day to day experience as a Translator and an Interpreter. Several times in churches I have been interpreting to preachers both from Swahili to English and English to Swahili for more than two years now. However, in my High School studies I majored in English and Swahili languages, where I learnt much of its technical part. From there I joined Sokoine University, where I pursued bachelor of tourism management for three good years. Within this course I studied Introduction to English Language and Culture I and II in first and second semester and Communication Skills in semester four. During this time I added more knowledge in my English language skills since I had an ample time to read books and have more practices during daily fellowship gatherings and one to one communication. I also worked as tour guide during my field practices required for accomplishment of my degree. During these trips I was able to communicate in English to the tourists throughout and sometimes interpreting between tourists and local dwellers. Following the training I have acquired throughout my academic life and my desire of working as a translator, I have so far acquired enough knowledge and experience of working properly as both a translator and interpreter providing required outcome.
