My translation background goes back to year 2008 when i started to work with peace corps of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA in the Tanzania office, as a swahili language and cross culture facilitator for peace volunteers in Tanzania. In that year i had 20 years of experience in teaching swahili to foreigners. In this case apart from continuing to teach, the organization assigned me to translate official documents.I continued to teach while translating, and later continued it as career which i doing today.Every language is unique to the culture it represents. i have evidenced this while doing English swahili translations. For instance the word kujisaidia in swahili means to help oneself. However, although we all know what it means to help oneself in English,in swahili to help oneself(kujisaidia) means to relieve oneself. What i want to say here is about the balance between liberal and literal translations that ,we should not stick on only of the pillars of translation. We should balance.Otherwise we will mislead people
