I have been working as a freelance translator since 2003 and hold a master’s degree in English-Spanish Translation from Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Universidad Católica Anselmo Llorente y la Fuente, Costa Rica. As a professional translator, I work with four languages: English, French, Italian, and Spanish. In 2009, I was appointed as a Certified French-Spanish Translator by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Costa Rica. I specialize in translating scientific and academic texts, in addition to public documents, and texts related to the pharmaceutical, technical, journalistic, and non-governmental sectors. Alongside my full-time translation work, I have collaborated with Universidad Nacional of Costa Rica and Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología, teaching courses on translation and translatology. I am a member of the Costa Rican Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (ACOTIP), the National Association of Certified Translators and Interpreters (ANTIO), and the International Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (IAPTI).
