Hello, my name is Murilo, I am from Brazil.
I have been studying the English language for 12 years up to this time. Before starting out this journey, I had been listening to some rock bands, most of them from English-speaking countries like The United States and England.

I wanted to know what the song lyrics meant, so I became interested in learning this language. I attended English courses at language schools in my country, however, most of what I know I learned by myself, because I am used to being a self-taught person, not only in the field of language learning and linguistics, but many others.

As I was learning, I began to translate the song lyrics in order to know what they meant. I could learn many words and expressions by doing that, as well as grammar structures. I also started learning from movies and TV series by translating their subtitles.

I have many interests, I read about a lot of things and I study a wide array of different subjects, which broadened my knowledge of the world. Besides studying languages and linguistics, I like to study science in general. However, I tend to focus more on the study of computer science and everything that is related to this field.

I enrolled on a course at university in order to study languages with emphasis on Portuguese and English. I began studying Spanish and German once, but I stopped for a while in order to focus on the study of English and Portuguese.
I also have 5 years of experience as a private English teacher and lately I have been teaching online on YouTube. I started a channel that is intended for Portuguese speakers.

When it comes to translation, I am sure I can deliver a high quality service not only due to my experience as a learner and a teacher, but also due to my knowledge of the world and of the sociocultural differences between countries that might affect the quality of a translation.
