I am a native speaker of Oromo.

My minimum rate is 0.05 Euro per source word.

But I prefer to work at 0.08 Euro per source word.

I charge for my services at least 10 Euro per hour.

And my minimum charge per document is 30 Euro.

I have obtained an official translator / linguist degree.

I have been working as a translator since 2012.

I provide the following services: Translation, Proofreading, Interpretation (consecutive), Subtitling, Voice-over, Copywriting, Transcribtion.

By today, I have translated about up to 10,000 words.

I do not use any computer aided translation tools.

I am best in the following fields: Agriculture, Social Science, Health.

I am a sworn translator.

I am available for work Full week, Monday through Friday.

Gurmu is a committed, detail-oriented person who has remarkable multidisciplinary experience. Has a long standing experience in translation, interpretation and transcription of different materials, ranging from research tools to guidelines from varies disciples. Worked for more than ten years as a full time and part-time translator for scholars in and outside Ethiopia. Some of the examples of my work are, the translation of the Simple Poverty Scorecard for Mark Schreiner (PHD), Washington University in St. Louis; did a transcription project for Edward Stevenson (PHD), Durham University. Besides my regular task as a translator currently working as a freelance translator and transcriber for Population Services International Ethiopia, Busara Center for Behavioral Economics, WhizKids Workshop, and projects affiliated with Johns Hopkins University in Ethiopia. Received a very positive feedback from these organizations, my works are known for their quality and loyalty to the source language.
Have recently completed my master degree from the prestigious University of London in MPH, which has added quantitative analysis skill to my qualitative experience. Have a very good English skill proved by the result of IELTS test, which was band 7.
