I have been working in the field of translation since 2003. I started with a book translation and doing translations for sites and media. I started working as a language expert with Deluxe Entertainment Services Private Limited from 2016 – a leading global provider of video content to the entertainment industry. My role included every aspect of video subtitling, from preparing a consistency sheet, doing translations, to reviewing and proofreading. A critical aspect of the job was providing opportunities for localization, from English to Hindi as well as Hindi to English. After working for 11 months at Deluxe Entertainment Services, I moved to technical translations and joined Magnon Interactive Private Limited as a reviewer (Google onsite) in October, 2017. Soon thereafter in January 2018, I was promoted as a Team Lead-Review Coordinator. The Review Coordinator is a key role as it comprises internal team coordination as well as external coordination among different translation review vendors and the client. My responsibilities also included assisting the client with all language assets to improve the overall language quality. I left Magnon after working for about a year to work as an independent freelancer with Vistatec, as a reviewer for Google projects. My role at Vistatec involved performing RTR and maintaining coordination among the team members. Though offered an on-site team lead role while at Vistatec, I could not take it up due to personal reasons. Currently, I am working as the EN-IN lead for Google projects and Content Studio lead and a reviewer (XL) for Google projects. Apart from Google projects, I am working as Freelance Language Lead for Patreon (With Translated), freelance Editor for Facebook projects, enrolled as freelance translator-reviewer for Netflix, Uber and Oppo, and Assistant Trainer for Transforming Talent Program for Welocalize. Prior to joining localization industry, I worked as a media professional.
