As you know person who knows foreign languages is a good translator. However, that’s not necessarily true, as levels of knowledge of a language can vary. I'm very interested about by work that is translation job. that is way I use all my means and efforts to deliver every project in excellent shape, as if it was my baby. As a good translator I have a specific linguistic education. I also master not only the Hausa language that I work with, but also the skills of translation. I as a trained translator I’m curious and motivated to keep on learning new words and expression. As we all know the learning process of a translator should be never-ending. I have a wide lexicon, not only in the foreign language but also in my mother tongue. This will make my work easier and the quality of the translation higher. It is also convenient for translator to acquire technical terms in specific fields, such as business, law, sciences, engineering, etc… My goal is to express the idea of the source text as clearly as possible, without ambiguity. That is why I avoid difficult structures whenever I can use simple ones. Like I have mentioned earlier a good translator should be obsessed with quality In order to achieve these I use all available resources at my disposal. I was good in providing an exact transfer of information. Despite it being tempting sometimes, that is why I never correct the source text, trying to maintain its “spirit” instead. I’m human being after all, therefore it is normal for me to not know some expressions or words. Nevertheless I shouldn’t just skip it, but I conduct research and note it down for future reference. I always deliver a translation that I can be proud of, but at the same time I’m humble enough to accept possible corrections from the editor/proof reader. The most important thing in the end is always the quality of the translation.
