My name is MHD HAITHAM DIAB. I am a native Arabic speaker from Damascus, Syria. I live in Leipzig, Germany. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Translation from Damascus University, one of the oldest Arabic universities and one of the few universities that mainly teach in Arabic. Plus, I also completed 4 semesters in Leipzig University (Major: American Studies). I speak English fluently (IELTS 7.5). I have been practicing and using English since I was a very small child. Moreover, I speak German fluently and I have (Test Daf) C1.

Lately I have been focusing on subtitling (English Arabic) in which I consider it my cup of tea. I started as a volunteer subtitler for a couple of educational YouTube channels. After that, I worked with many clients on ProZ.com, which gave me the confidence and the experience to work with many media localization companies, and numerous LSPs that you can see in the references below, which I subtitled a lot of episodes of TV shows from English into Arabic.


I have a great experience using SDL Trados Studio as my main CAT tool. Additionally, I am also experienced in using other tools for Transcription and subtitling such as Aegisub Advanced Subtitle Editor, Amara, and Subtitle Workshop. Besides, I am fluent in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Google Docs, PDF Adobe Acrobat with tremendous internet searching skills.
