Details of the project: I am in a process to get the consolidated requirement of data to be translated. After a small exercise we have come up with the following requirement for translation.
Few important points that should be noted are as follows:
• The translation would be required for technical documents like Machine Manuals, Validation documents, IQ/OQ certifications etc.
• We can send you a sample page for your reference. There would be 10-20% of such pages in each document.
• Page layout & font size should not be changed.

Details of the project: This is about conducting customer satisfaction surveys with customers of IBM -
All targeted respondents are top level management executives and we will be provided with a software which generates the customer details, a calling system and also the system itself will generate the questionnaire - by opening up the survey on browser.
So - the positives here are a lot - this is the first project we're working on with hourly billing system - all market research projects are paid for the number of surveys we conduct; And in all those cases, the approach would be cold calling - but in this case, all targeted respondents had been informed through a written letter mailed over.
There is no pressure on us in terms of the number of surveys to complete, but we're expected to spend the maximum time possible and call all the numbers provided by the system - and follow the protocols on the job - while speaking with the respondents and in using the tool/software;
Now- this is how we need to start - download the software - then, open up the survey links.. to get familiar with the questionnaire - and then, do a test call. (which in this case is omitted - as we'd be proceeding using an approved log-in)
I'll guide you with the system set up and in generating the survey links.. and then, you can open up the questionnaires twice to understand the flow of questions..
The client wants to be sure that the respondents are being approached by natives, that they won't have problem understanding the language or accent; and the focus of this project is not on the number of surveys we conduct, even though its important, but on trying to call all the numbers the client has and in dealing with the respondents very politely and professionally, so there won't be any instance where they'd feel that we're insisting or get offended in anyway - the reason being - IBM has longstanding relationship with these respondents as its customers...which is the main reason why there is no pressure at all on the number of surveys we conduct.
And all records/numbers called should be properly disposed, with a proper disposition code - and all calls will be made from the software only.
For the software to work- the system needs a headset with USB connector.
I believe the software tracks the number of hours logged - but we're asked to manually keep track and report on a daily basis.

Details of the project: Iam looking for native German, French , Russian, and Italian speaking persons who can create effective language teaching manuals, with the objective of teaching essential communication. The objective is not grammatical correctness or mastery, the objective is to be able to communicate. Generally it takes only around 200 words to make a casual conversation and manage everyday life in a foreign language. I am looking for persons who can intelligently pick those 200 words and use those as building blocks to create sentences, starting from small sentences to bigger sentences.
This is how babies learn to talk!
If you understand this concept, and you can create a manual that will give the user the language mastery of a four year old native toddler, that is what we need!
The manual will include audio also (we will provide software for audio recording if needed)
Basically this is what I am looking for:
1.Identify a core vocabulary list that consists of the words that can be used the most in every day conversations so that day to day activities may be accomplished without any problems. This would include common nouns, verbs, adjectives, prepostions, conjunctions etc.
2.Design a way in which these words can be used in a variety of circumstances, and how to build on that basic knowledge to build simple sentences to communicate with.
Example:
words: want, hamburger, cheese, dont want, one more
I want
I want a hamburger
I want a hamburger without cheese
I dont want a hamburger
I want one more hamburger
I want a ticket
I want a ticket to Helsinki
3. Use imaginative settings in which the person can make those conversations. You don't have to follow any established routines or 'tourist handbook' approach. It could be 'Conversation in the kitchen' 'Conversation at bus stop' 'On a train', 'Meeting someone in a library' 'Flirting with someone in the park' , or any thing your imagination can produce.
But imagine each scenario in detail, and think in depth about it.
The fee for each language is US $ 400.
Special requirements to the applicants: Should be a native speaker of the languages mentioned and residing in a country that speaks that language. Must be very fluent in English in addition to the specific language that you are qualified in.

The team at Lionbridge Technologies with solution centres in 25 countries worldwide is recruiting part-time self-employed workers who are fluent speakers in French and English who are based in Morocco to join its team of Internet Assessors.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in English is essential
- Fluency in French is essential
- We are seeking people who have access to the internet, and are confident in using the Internet
- Background in IT is helpful but not essential
- For cultural and historical awareness purposes you must be resident in Morocco for 5 consecutive years
The main aim of the work is to improve the quality of a search engine's results for all web users worldwide. The work involves evaluating results of a web search, for their appropriateness to the search query input. You will be required to provide feedback i.e. your opinion of the result displayed.
The hours are flexible to fit around your family and home life, and the position is ideal for someone looking for a work-life balance (10-20 hours per week).

Details of the project: Le poste traducteur consiste à effectuer la traduction et la relecture des scripts de jeux sur tout type de plateforme, sur ordinateur et téléphone mobile. Les traducteurs doivent avoir une excellente connaissance de l'anglais ainsi qu'une excellente connaissance d'une de ces langues dont l'allemand, le français, l'italien, l'espagnol, le suédois, le danois, le néerlandais, le finlandais et le norvégien.
Description de tâches:
•Traduire, relire et adapter le contenu de jeux pour des marchés spécifiques par rapport à la langue et la culture.
•Traduire et corriger des scripts audio, les éléments graphiques, les textes, le manuel, le site web et les fichiers.
•Effectuer le suivi de la progression du travail de traduction.
•Gérer et coordonner l’activité d’une équipe de 3 traducteurs et plus pour assurer la cohérence et l’exactitude des traductions.
•Relire et éditer le contenu traduit.
•Produire un rapport quotidien de l’avancement du travail.

Profil :

Details of the project: WE ARE URGENTLY SEARCHING FOR TRANSLATORS AND PROOFREADERS FOR PROJECTS (well-paid, in-house, apartment will be provided etc.) IN FRANKFURT AM MAIN (GERMANY) (experienced in the field of subtitling, video game translation, software localization, animation etc.)
Voiceover languages:
Dutch, French (FRANCE), German (GERMANY), Hungarian, Polish, Portuguese (PORTUGAL), Swedish, Russian, Spanish (SPAIN), Japanese and Thai.
The voiceover project requirement is as follows:
The script calls for 2 speakers: a male and female (flexible - can also be male & male, or female & female).
Voice recording can be done anywhere, but using a professional Mic (at a well-equipped home studio or in a professional studio). The following specs MUST be met:
Deliverables:
a. Audio format:
i. 16bit depth.
ii. 44.1Khz sample
iii. PCM, Wav format.
iv. Audio levels to be consistent from slide to slide, +/- 3db.
Total recording time is approximately 35-40 minutes.
