Details of the project: We are looking for a highly skilled Kannada to English translator with specific expertise in deciphering and translating old, handwritten legal documents.
Project Details:
The Document: A 10-page property/loan document from the Brahmavara region, dating back to the early/mid-1900s.
The Challenge: The text is in a historical, cursive Kannada script. It contains era-specific legal and property
terminology.
Deliverable: A clear, highly accurate English translation, maintaining the structure of the original document where
possible. Notes on illegible words or ambiguous historical terms are acceptable and expected.
Long-Term Opportunity:
We frequently receive similar handwritten documents (property records, birth/death certificates, court decrees) from our clients. A successful collaboration on this 10-page project will lead to a long-term partnership for ongoing, regular work of this nature.

Special requirements to the applicants: Requirements:

a single paragraph from the document to verify their ability to read the script before awarding the full project.
