I hope this job posting finds you well.
RND Softech is a leading business process outsourcing organization that envisioned and pioneered the adoption of the flexible global business practices that today enable companies to operate more efficiently and produce more value. We commenced operations in 1999, now we are one of the leading business support system companies.
We have a project proposal for you. This is a data collection project, called YouTube Data Collection.
The project process is to collect YouTube links as per the process guidelines on target languages.
1. Create separate tabs for each locale and use the suggested columns to input the data.
2. There should be 1 video link per row, along with the real length, adjusted length (explained below), and category (to be selected from dropdown menu).
3. Project to be assigned to native speakers only, who will find YouTube videos in that locale.
4. Nice-to-have/constraints on the YouTube videos:
a. Different categories (as listed in the dropdown menu).
b. Different genders and speakers (fair proportion between enders, various speakers).
c. Type of speech: speech-heavy (no music), background noise is ok but not too much, the more coverage of styles the better.
d. Music videos should be excluded.
e. No offensive content or hate speech to be included.
5. In the locale-wise tabs, enter the video URL in column A, its real length (in seconds) in the corresponding cell in column B, and its adjusted length (in seconds) in the corresponding cell in column C.
6. Minimum number of adjusted length required is 360,000 seconds per locale (aim to source 300-350 video urls/ids per locale).
7. The video should not contain minor speakers.
8. Future locales will be provided in the Project Summary Tab. Suppliers must create a new tab for each new locale and follow the above listed instructions.
9. Videos that are more than 1800 seconds long will be counted as 1800 seconds for adjusted length. Keep that in mind when tallying the total number of seconds under the adjusted length
10. In the locale-wise tabs, for column C, put the correct length of videos (in seconds) that are 1800 seconds or less, and 1800 seconds for videos that are longer than 30 minutes. For example in Row #2, the video is 7 min 36 seconds long. Hence, add its video URL in column A, 456 in column B, and 456 in column C. However, in Row #3, the video is 2 hrs 42 mins 47 secs long. Hence, add the video URL in column A, 9767 in column B, and 1800 in column C."
