English - Burmese lyrics translation project: Job 00053845

Details of the project: Now we are seeking native Burmese translators/lyrics adaptors to translate and adapt English lyrics into natural and singable Burmese lyrics. Then we will ask native musicians to create the Burmese melody for these lyrics or to cover the original melody if it is acceptable to most of the native speakers. It is an ongoing work.
Due to our concern for the high quality of the lyrics, we hope translators who are also adaptors of those texts could meet the following issues:
1. Be a NATIVE Burmese. We require this is to ensure that the lyrics could be natural and singable as much as possible.
2. Have over 5 years of professional experience in translation or lyrics writing, and much experience in writing songs, translating hymnals and lyrics and poems, or creating poems.
3. We hope the translator could be a Christian (it’s not necessary), that way it will be easier for him or her to understand our songs and so the lyrics arranged could be closer to what our church wants. Best of all, the
translator has some experience in Christian hymns making.
