Details of the project: Seeing a full-time native English speaking translator (working remotely) for texts requiring translation from Russian into English.
First person in the TEP (Translation-Editing-Proofreading) chain to work on translating texts.
Career growth: potential training in subtitle translation, transcreation, localisation; editing and proofreading.
Tasks
- Daily translation of a wide variety of files
- Ensuring appropriate English word order, word choice, and sentence structure in the translated text
- Assessing potential translation & editing jobs for complexity
- Subjects: CREATIVE: Film, scripts, animation; CORPORATE: marketing, press releases, web copy, legal, finance;
LITERARY: non-fiction, autobiographies, histories
- Work with professional software: MemoQ, Sublime, Trello, XTRF
