Details of the project: This position translates English into a foreign language. It is a part-time, contractor position within our professional services team. The position is a combination of in-office and remote work to be determined on hire. The position works with a team to translate technical documents into multiple languages: primarily Spanish, Portuguese, French, Russian, Turkish, and Mongolian.
The freelance translator position participates in the full cycle of project management to create translations for computer based training (CBT). The freelance translator ad-heres to schedules of the internal work flow and assignments. This position coordinates with other departments and team members to help finalize the translation project to meet or exceed client deadlines for delivery.
Pay rate is DOE and based upon accuracy of writing sample that will be required prior to hire.

Special requirements to the applicants: With in-depth knowledge of the English language, translate a variety of material, including formal technical, engineering, scientific, mining, and manufacturing documentation, from English into a foreign language, with attention to content, grammar, and nuance, so that the intent and tone of the original meaning is preserved.
We require a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in English or related field of study, and full fluency, at a legal, scientific, or technical level, in at least one other language. We will consider an appropriate combination of education and experience. A qualified candidate is required to translate specialized information within strict accuracy and format requirements, and must possess highly specialized knowledge of technical writing and translation.
