Details of the project: Language Connect is looking for qualified linguists with legal experience/background to work on a large translation project due to start on Monday 7 October for 4-5 weeks, possibly longer. Anticipated volumes between 500,000 and 800,000 words.
To be considered for this project you will need to demonstrate that you:
• Have a perfect command of Portuguese to mother tongue standard, plus a thorough knowledge of English and Angolan Portuguese
• Have a university degree
• Have at least one year’s experience working as a professional translator and possess the relevant translation experience in the specified subject matter
If you have the required skills and experience as outlined above, and are available from next week, please submit your application on www.linguistconnect.net (preferred option). As part of our ISO certification and vetting process, all linguists will be asked to complete a short test translation of around 250 words.
