Details of the project: Hello,
We are looking for a marketing translator / editor with Lead Linguist experience for our world-known client in the entertainment platform industry. This is a long-term project and this lead linguist position requires 20-40 hours a week to coordinate between the client and other Swahili translators. We need this person to join the team ASAP.

Here are additional notes and a few major requirements for the candidates:
1. Excellent linguistic skill, especially on creative/marketing content. Besides UI/CS (non-creative/technical content), marketing/high-end marketing (or transcreation content sometimes) takes the majority percentage of their jobs.
The lead linguist will need to translate, review (translation & LQA results), and act as a quality gate keeper of this language.
2. Good communication skill since the lead linguist will need to communicate directly with the client sometimes, answer their questions/provide feedback, or join the meetings. Also, being decisive and able to take the ownership
3. Flexible working hours for attending client conference remotely during PST business hours at possible evening European time.
4. Possible travel request when an onsite support is required at the client end e.g. mostly likely happen couple of weeks before the language launch date as well as at the kickoff of the project.
Industry: The client is in movie/entertainment industry. Their translation focus would be mostly the creative content, such as synopsis, marketing trailer, PR, and title translation.

● Self-motivated & enthusiastic about meticulously crafting, evolving and executing the voice of the customer
● Marketing, transcreation or copywriting experience, challenging technical environments
