Details of the project: Location: Pointe Claire, PQ (head office) or virtual
FULL TIME - Hours: 8AM to 5PM

Responsibilities: To translate and/or proof-read texts on various subjects, including TECHNICAL documentation from English to French Canadian.
To carry out research activities to gain a better understanding of the nature of the text he/she is translating at any time. This will typically involve desk research and use of the internet, in which the employee will be expected to be able to locate quickly and utilize material relating to the subject matter being translated.
The employee will be expected to ensure delivery to the client of high-quality documentation on time, that require as little editing and correction as possible.
When engaged solely on translation activities, the employee will be expected translate an average of 2,200 or more words per day.
When engaged solely on revision activities, the employee will be expected to revise an average of 9-10K/day

Special requirements to the applicants: Qualifications: Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates.
A bachelor’s degree in translation or a related field would be considered an asset.
Hands-on experience using a translation memory program (Trados and/or MultiTrans)
10 years plus translation experience would be considered an asset
Significant experience, preferably with the Translation Bureau, PWGSC is an asset
Detail oriented, judgment, superior organizational skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to work under pressure and work with tight deadlines.
