Deluxe Digital Studios, a leading provider of quality subtitling, closed captioning and translation services for major motion picture studios, film festivals, broadcast, cable networks and online streaming, is seeking:
URGENTLY REQUIRED FREELANCE TRANSLATORS/PROOFREADERS FROM ENGLISH TO MANDARIN TRADITIONAL
Main Duties
Translating from English into the target language
Proofreading and editing client-provided materials
Conforming existing scripts/subtitle files to particular specifications of various clients
Education, Experience and Competencies
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Be native speakers of the target language
Possess a strong knowledge of the English language
Must have Translation Experience
Have a bachelor’s degree in Translation or Literature and translation, subtitling, proofreading, and/or editing experience
Be computer-oriented and have sound knowledge of the MS Office Suite
Be organized, priority-focused, dynamic, independent and resourceful
Must respond well under the pressure of deadlines
Have an affinity for North American cinema and television
Our minimum computer and internet requirements are:
Windows XP, Vista or 7 with 4 GB RAM (Windows installed on an Apple
computer, but we do not offer full support in these cases)
DSL/ Cable Internet Connectivity with minimum download speed of 256 KBPS/2 MBPS.
