Japanese proofreader in gemology (jewelry) required: Job 00031747
Source language(s): English
Target language(s): Japanese
Details of the project: We need an English > Japanese "proofreader"/ subject matter expert for a large project with GIA (thousands of words per person). This is very light proofreading: no actual editing per se, but rather checking the materials (which have already been translated and gone through another proofreader) for accuracy in terminology and professional language use.
If you have background in translation AND Gemology (jewelry, precious stones, minerals, etc.) please submit your resume and I will contact you shortly.
Special requirements to the applicants: Your resume MUST show your translation and gemology background. This may include:
- Any education that is related to geology or gemology (formal or informal)
- Any translation projects that you have worked on, which were related to precious stones or jewelry
- Any other jewelry-related projects (outside of translation) that would have exposed you to the language that professional gemologists use in their routine communications
- Any other paid or unpaid experience or education that would expose you to jewelry or precious stone related materials.
We will pay for this job 0.30 EUR per word
