Sample text (50 to 200 words): The power sector in Kenya relies heavily on hydroelectricity, while the other indigenous power generation resources - geothermal, wind, biomass and coal -are only beginning to be developed. This insufficient diversification in the generation mix has resulted in frequent power shortages and the need for costly petroleum based generation in the recent past due to recurring drought periods.

The aim of this technical assistance is to strengthen and improve the planning within the power sector in Kenya. For this LI was contracted by the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum and the Energy Regulatory Commission.
