Details of the project: English to Chinese Simplified native freelance translators with subtitling experience are urgently required.
Main Duties:
Translating and proofreading from English to Chinese Simplified
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Be Native Speaker of Chinese Simplified
Have experience in Subtitling
Possess a strong knowledge of the English language (knowledge of other languages is an asset)
Have a bachelor degree and/or experience related to translation, literature, journalism or communication
Be computer-oriented and have sound knowledge of MS Office Suite
Be organized, priority-focused, dynamic, independent and resourceful
Work well under pressure and respect deadlines
Have image and sound awareness (active viewer)
Acquire good typing speed and strong listening skills
Availability:
Candidates must be available to begin work, starting immediately.
Priority will be given to candidates who are available to complete the test; installation and training within 2 weeks after the CVs are received.
Please note that as this is freelance work, we cannot guarantee a steady workload as this depends on industry requirements.
Other Requirements
In order to collaborate with Deluxe, you will need to work on our proprietary software. To install it you will need to have access to a computer of adequate capacity. Only candidates with Windows XP, Vista or 7 with at least 1 GB RAM and broadband Internet (with minimum download speed of 1 Mbps) will be considered. Applicants with other operating systems (including Windows 8) will not be considered as our proprietary software is not compatible with these.
Candidates with mobile Internet (3G, 4G) will not be considered due to connection instability for download of assets.
You may also be required to change some settings on your computer during the installation process, but our Helpdesk team will send you detailed instructions and are able provide you with support for any issues regarding our software, as long as the established requirements are respected.
