Sample text (50 to 200 words): GC is a portable gamma ray imaging system that revolutionizes the assessment of radiological environments by providing accurate two-dimensional spatial mappings of gamma ray emitting nuclides, in real time. Remote operation and control allows safe image acquisitions in high radiation environments, with minimum operator exposure.
Applications of GCinclude:
• Decontamination and decommissioning of nuclear facilities and weapon systems.
• Waste separation and monitoring of radioactive waste storage.
• Refuel and maintenance of commercial and military nuclear power plants.
• Arms control, treaty verification, and anti-terrorism.
The system’s primary components are the GCSensor Head, and a PC with the GammaSoft™ software and interface cards, and cabling. Additional component options are available, including tripods, custom encasements and interfaces, etc. Deployment is simple: the sensor head is positioned and aimed, and image acquisitions are controlled by an operator at the PC.
