Details of the project: Our client is leader in the IT industry. They provide security and process management solutions to IT teams around the world.
They are looking for an Arabic Native Localization Test Engineer for their Egypt office.
Core tasks:
•Responsible for testing foreign language products in preparation for market release.
•Prepares and maintains a set of test machines and OS’s for the target language.
•Performs specified tests in scripted and ad hoc testing scenarios.
•Creates customized test plans and test cases, and performs tests following instructions in a test case database.
As member of a target language team:
•participates to provide quality linguistics and support to the software localization engineer.
•Also works closely with software engineers to troubleshoot, and regress defects around functionality, and addresses performance issues related to localized products.
•Interfaces with software testing teams in addressing internationalization, UI design and providing pertinent information while writing defect reports.
•Demonstrates knowledge of localization, UI, grammar, and appropriate translations, to maintain high quality levels for the products tested. Interacts with other localization testing engineers to develop and execute best practices.
Additional tasks:
•Acts as quality assurance expert to maintain proper functionality of localized products
•Trains team members in various company/industry specific topics
Technical Skills:
•Experience and Skills in Software Testing – particularly in Localization
•Understanding of Software Development lifecycle
•Knowledge of Networking Infrastructure/Architecture/Protocols
•Proficiency with Defect Tracking tools and Defect Lifecycle management
•Defect Analysis and Troubleshooting Skills
•Knowledge and Experience using Operating System Imaging tools
•Ability to create Test Plans and Test Cases
•Knowledge of Computer Hardware Architecture
•Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems
•Knowledge or Experience of Databases – SQL, Oracle
•Understanding of Client/Server Architecture
