But I prefer to work at 0.10 Euro per source word.

I charge for my services at least 6 Euro per hour.

And my minimum charge per document is 6 Euro.

I have obtained an official translator / linguist degree.

I have been working as a translator since 2008.

I provide the following services: Proofreading, General Translation: German-English.

By today, I have translated about 10,000 to 50,000 words.

I use the following tools: SDL Trados, Deja Vu, Collins EN-DE Full Dictionary, Babylon, dict.cc, dict.leo.org,.

I am best in the following fields: Arts and Humanities, Business / Commerce (General), European Union, General, Government / Politics, Journalism, Linguistics, Media / Multimedia, Travel & Tourism, Finance/Economics (General).

I am not a sworn translator.

I am a native-speaker English undergraduate student of German and English/Linguistics. I have been a student of German for 9 years. I have been translating texts on a regular basis for almost three years, for both coursework and for exams. I translate both German-English and English-German, however, as a native English speaker, I am obviously most comfortable translating from a German source into English. I consistently attain first class and high upper second class marks for my translations from German into English (and also English-German). My experience and variety of texts/sources have been broad and varied across many subjects and aspects, from film and education to state economics. Due to my degree, I am quite experienced in the field of linguistics too and would like to do translation work here as well. I also offer proof-reading in English and have successfully and thoroughly proof-read and made corrections and suggestions on a 40 page/16,000 word thesis in English, written by a native German speaker. I am looking for preferably light and relatively small translation work/projects to build on my experience.
