I am a former United Nations translator/interpreter deployed in Timor-Leste for 5 1/2 years. In that capacity, I provided translation and interpreting services to the top management tier of the United Nations Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste (UNMIT) in their interface with the Timorese Government, donor countries, foreign cooperation, bilateral/multilateral parties, UN agencies and the media. My translation duties covered a broad range of documents produced by the mission as well as exit reports prepared by several UN agencies and departments with UNMIT.

Prior to my assignment with the UN, I worked as a translator/interpreter in SAP implementation projects throughout Brazil and in pre-SOX auditing initiatives at a large energy distribution/generation company in Brazil. I also became the designated interpreter for SAP's Data Migration training course and traveled around Brazil on several occasions to accompany the trainer to different sites.
