2. I worked with Punjab National Bank (a Leading Nationalized Bank in India) around 37 years in Official Language(Hindi) Department. I have extensive hands-on experience of converting website/mobile/ATM strings into Hindi, apart from developing a parallel operating system in Hindi in the Bank. I translated/ reviewed & edited/ Proof read/ written hundreds of contents, editorials, instructions manuals, circulars, office orders, Balance sheets, annual Reports, notices, publicity/ advertising material in Hindi/bilingual (Hindi & English) format. All above documents/material were for the general public, so this job required highest degree of responsibility and accuracy in expression of translation, as poor translation could not only damage the Bank’s image but also invite legal compilations. I handled all this at a very high level and displayed highest degree of responsibility with Zero tolerance in accuracy, quality & time schedule.

4. I do not believe in computer/ machine translation. In fact every sentence has many shades and hidden expression, which can be explained only through ‘human translation’. Dabbling with words, Selection and placing them properly is an art, which travels from Source language to Target language. I know where, why and how to make proper use of words, which has been maturing since ages; this helps me a lot to truly find solace in penning what is there in the mind of source document creator. I call it 'The Real Expression not Translation'.
