In addition to credentials, we base our selection on translator's own sample translation/s (name, source and NATIVE target languages marked, 200-250 words max., in best subject area/s, which can be e-mailed. Many samples are not thoroughly reviewed until a new need in the specific language and subject area arises but are stored in the database until that occasion, at which time they are VERY carefully reviewed. If we receive CVs without samples, we will send a form letter asking for them, and the database will not offer us the translator until sample/s is/are available and recorded.
